Anti Streptolysin - O (ASO LATEX) Slide Latex Agglutination Test Kits

INTRODUCTION AND INTENDED USE: ASO is a rapid latexagglutination test kit for the detection of anti-streptolysin-O (ASO)antibodies in human serum. ASO antibodies are found in sera of patients inresponse to infection with haemolytic streptococci of groups A, C or G.Streptolysin-O is highly antigenic therefore patients with these infectionsproduce specific antibodies detectable by the MAXWIN ASO reagent. Forprofessional use only.

ASO latex particles are coated with purified andstabilised streptolysin-O. When the latex suspension is mixed with serumcontaining elevated levels of ASO antibodies on a slide, clear agglutination isseen within 2 minutes.

The ASO latex test kit isprovided with ASO test latex Reagent, positive and negative controls, pipettestirrers and an agglutination slide.
